TESL Ontario 2019: December 5 & 6, 2019

This year’s Ontario 2019 TESL Conference will be taking place at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre. The theme of the conference is Cultivating Innovation and Inclusion. Dorothy Zemach will be one of this year’s three keynote speakers, with her topic ‘The (Dis)comfort Zone’. We will be sending out swag, so make sure to check out those goodie bags!

Penn TESOL-East Fall Conference 2019: November 16, 2019

Penn TESOL-East is a not-for-profit organization. Penn TESOL-East is set to promote professional development, strengthen instructions and research in ESOL, collect and disseminate useful information about teaching ESOL, and provide opportunities for sharing information. This year’s conference will be taking place at the Temple University Howard Gittis Student Center.

Maryland TESOL 2019: November 9, 2019

Maryland TESOL is an organization dedicated to the improvement and advancement of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Its goals and objectives are to disseminate information, strengthen instruction and research at all levels of English to speakers of other languages, provide leadership in professional concerns, promote scholarship, and cooperate in appropriate ways with other groups having similar concerns. If you will be attending, make sure to grab some English Central swag and enjoy a blue crab (or two)!

Carolina TESOL 2019: November 6 – 8, 2019

Home to many famous people (Mary-Louise Parker, Andie MacDowell), it also has beautiful beaches and delicious food, South Carolina will be holding its Carolina TESOL fall conference at the Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation Myrtle Beach. This year’s speakers and presenters include Pedro Noguera, Ph. D.,  Dr. Luciana C. de Oliveira, and Emily Francis. We will be making virtual presence, so keep an eye out for some EC swag!

SSTESOL: Sunshine State TESOL of Flordia 2019: November 5 – 9, 2019

Disney World, Orlando, and TESOL of Florida. SSTESOL is an association of professionals advancing the quality of English language teaching and learning, with this year’s conference theme being Future Tense: Entering an Age of Empowerment. Affiliate members from 11 states will come to exchange ideas, network, and share ideas and innovations in the ESL field. Though we can’t replicate the magic of Disney, we do intend on providing some post-it notes, so look out for some EC goodies!
